Represented by R2M Solution, we attended EnerJ-meeting, a major event dedicated to energy and environmental efficiency in the construction sector.

During the event, we demonstrated how the energy dimension is embedded across our project and urban regeneration approach:
- Urban regeneration concept and its link with energy
In REGEN, energy is not treated as an isolated technical topic. It is integrated into the broader urban regeneration concept, where building renovation, mobility, circular economy strategies, and social well-being are interconnected to create decarbonized and resilient urban ecosystems. - Actions implemented and planned in the demo sites
Across the demonstration sites, energy-related actions are already being implemented and further measures are planned. For example, in Beckerich, work focuses on optimizing District Heating Networks (DHN) to reduce thermal losses and improve system efficiency. In Milan, interventions combine energy performance improvements with circular construction approaches. - The link between energy and circularity
The project addresses the strong connection between energy and circular economy principles by reducing embodied carbon through Urban Mining strategies and by applying Reversible BIM (RBIM) methodologies, ensuring materials and components can be reused and adapted over time. - Acceptability survey
Through the work of LISER, REGEN assesses citizens’ perceptions, expectations, and acceptance of energy transition measures. This ensures that technical energy solutions are aligned with social needs and local contexts. - The NRO concept (example from Dublin)
The Neighborhood Regeneration Office (NRO) plays a key role in facilitating local engagement and supporting socially fair energy transitions. The NRO implemented in Dublin demonstrates how local governance structures can help ensure citizen involvement, acceptance, and long-term sustainability of energy-related interventions.
