The Architects + Engineers: Partnership for Resilient Design conference, jointly organised by the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE-CAE), the European Council of Civil Engineers, EFCA – European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations, and the Ordre des Architectes et des Ingénieurs-Conseils (OAI), brought together design professionals from across Europe in Luxembourg.

Held under the umbrella of the New European Bauhaus and in light of the upcoming revision of the EU Public Procurement Directive, the event offered an inspiring platform for architects and engineers to reflect on the power of collaboration in delivering resilient, inclusive, and sustainable design.

REGEN was proud to be part of the event, sharing its vision for transforming the built environment in line with the social and environmental ambitions of the EU. As the project coordinator explained:

“It was a great opportunity to present our REGEN EU Project to this European audience of design professionals: architects, engineers, and other experts. REGEN addresses the challenges we need to tackle together to reduce the environmental impact of our buildings while ensuring decent housing conditions, social justice, and wellbeing for EU citizens.”

The regeneration of our built environment – through renovation, repurposing, and adaptation – is increasingly recognised as a key priority by public authorities. REGEN aims to support this shift by developing digital tools and environmental assessment methodologies to empower local stakeholders.

A big thank you to the organisers, and to the LIST team for their involvement in this event!
